UKABC Chair, Lord Vaizey, leads UK business delegation for meeting with H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN

In the margins of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2025 Lord Vaizey led UKABC’s business delegation for a meeting with H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN.  

The UK business delegation included senior leaders from ACCA, Arup, AstraZeneca, Hawksford, HSBC, Jardines, KPMG, Newcastle University, Pearson, Prudential, PwC (UK), Mott MacDonald and Informed Solutions. The meeting was also attended by The UK’s Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Helen Fazey, His Majesty’s Deputy Trade Commissioner, Rhiannon Harries and TheCityUK.  
 
The positive dialogue encompassed exciting opportunities for the UK and ASEAN to do even more together. The ASEAN Power Grid, skills agenda, professional services, creative economy, Digital Economy Framework Agreement and financial services were all discussed as areas for deeper collaboration.   
 
The UKABC business delegation was able to introduce their deep expertise across these areas. In support of this, UKABC will continue to convene, collaborate and develop the platforms so that this deep pool of UK expertise continues to be connected to these exciting ASEAN opportunities.
