Gateway to Southeast Asia: Unlocking Indonesia’s Market Potential
The Indonesia Business Outreach Forum is proudly presented by the Embassy of Indonesia together with Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre, WJM & Irwin Mitchell and with the support from the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham) Indonesia and Scottish Development International (SDI). The forum titled "Gateway to Southeast Asia: Unlocking Indonesia's Market Potential" will provide Scottish and wider UK businesses a prime opportunity for Scottish businesses to explore market potential in Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia.
As Indonesia's economy continues to expand, the demand for high-quality education and advanced technology is also on the rise. Government initiatives such as the "Making Indonesia 4.0" program emphasise the importance of research and development in driving technological innovation. Through the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) Initiative, the Indonesian government is prioritising clean energy and sustainable infrastructure by mobilising finance, technology, and expertise from international partners.
Indonesia has also made significant strides in creating a more business-friendly environment, from offering tax holidays to streamlining regulatory processes. Recent reforms in both fiscal and non-fiscal benefits and the development of at least 20 Special Economic Zones have enhanced the ease of doing business.
The forum will feature informative sessions, interactive panel discussions, and the exploration of potential partnerships and investment prospects through networking sessions and one-on-one sessions/business clinics. This event aims to foster meaningful connections and facilitate strategic collaborations that will drive mutual growth and prosperity.
