The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will host the Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum (APTF) 2026 from 18 to 22 May 2026 at its headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
Held biennially since 2008, APTF is ADB’s flagship event for the transport sector, bringing together senior policymakers, transport practitioners, development partners, and private sector stakeholders from across Asia and the Pacific.
The 2026 forum will take place under the theme “From Priorities to Actions”, focusing on how countries can strengthen transport planning, investment, and project delivery to support national development goals.
As ADB’s developing member countries begin implementing the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026-2035), the forum will provide an opportunity to exchange practical insights on transport project delivery, institutional capacity, financing approaches, and emerging technologies.
Key highlights include:
High-level policy dialogue and peer exchange
Practical lessons from transport project implementation
Technical and institutional capacity-building sessions
Opportunities for collaboration with governments, development partners, the private sector, and civil society
Showcasing of ADB tools, initiatives, and partnerships supporting country-led transport priorities
Participation in the forum is free of charge, although participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Further programme details will be released in due course.
