UKABC Online Roundtable with Martin Kent, HMTC for Asia Pacific

The UKABC organised an exclusive online roundtable featuring Martin Kent, newly appointed as His Majesty's Trade Commissioner (HMTC) for Asia Pacific.

Martin shared his vision and plans for Asia Pacific, including strategies for boosting bilateral trade and investment, enhancing market access for British companies, and shaping finance and trade policies in the region.

Martin's career spans both the public and private sectors, bringing a wealth of experience to his role. Most recently he has served as the Minister and Deputy Head of Mission in the British Embassy in Tokyo and as HM Deputy Trade Commissioner to Africa. Martin joined the Civil Service in 2015 as the Deputy Director for Global Operations at UK Trade and Investment. Before this, at the Boston Consulting Group, he worked with multinational companies, including extended periods in Australia and Singapore.
