UKABC Business Delegation Meets DBT Minister for the Digital Economy, Liz Lloyd CBE, at the ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting (AEM)

UKABC was pleased to convene a meeting for our business delegation with the recently appointed DBT Minister for the Digital Economy, Liz Lloyd CBE, at the ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting in Kuala Lumpur. The minister was accompanied by the UK Ambassador to ASEAN, Helen Fazey, and Deputy Trade Commissioner Rhiannon Harries. They were briefed by our business delegation on priorities, challenges, and opportunities that face their businesses in the financial services, life assurance and asset management, infrastructure, energy, and facilities management sectors as they grow and invest in Southeast Asia.

The Minister also attended a business dinner, sponsored by ACCA, to close off the successful UK visit programme to AEM. UKABC’s business delegation included senior leaders from HSBC, Prudential, ACCA, Shell, Mott MacDonald, Standard Chartered, and OCS.
