UK-ASEAN Business Forum 2023

Indonesia was Chair of ASEAN in 2023. To explore what Indonesia's priorities were for the year ahead, the UK-ASEAN Business Council, the Department for Business and Trade, the UK Mission to ASEAN, and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council were delighted to present the UK-ASEAN Business Forum 2023. The Forum aimed to bring together key figures from the UK and Southeast Asia to discuss the UK-ASEAN partnership in action.

ASEAN's most populous nation adopted the theme of 'ASEAN Centrality: Innovating Towards Greater Inclusiveness'. The year saw a focus on digital transformation, sustainable development, health resilience, food security, and trade facilitation. The UK also worked with ASEAN on other key issues such as Infrastructure and Green Finance. The UK-ASEAN Business Forum provided an opportunity to better understand how the UK and ASEAN could grow their trading and investment relationship further and discover the many opportunities in the fastest-growing region in the world.

The UK-ASEAN Business Forum took place in London and online, with participation from across the UK and Southeast Asia.
