UKABC's Chief Executive Ian Gibbons Meets With Malaysian High Commissioner

In early August, Ian Gibbons, the Chief Executive of the UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC), was delighted to once again meet with His Excellency Dato' Zakri Jaafar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

The UK-Malaysia trade and investment relationship continues to go from strength to strength. Growing Malaysian investment in the UK is mirrored by increasing numbers of UK companies taking advantage of dynamic trade and investment opportunities in Malaysia. All this engagement is underpinned by the strength and depth of the enduring people to people relationship. The conversation with His Excellency covered UKABC’s plans for deepening further collaboration with Malaysia in 2025 as Chair of ASEAN. In early 2025 UKABC looks forward to hosting the UK-ASEAN Business Forum here in London where Malaysia will be centre stage. Before then UKABC’s Chief Executive will visit Kuala Lumpur on 14-15 October - as part of our UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) regional visit with our accompanying business delegation - to lay the ground for an exciting 2025 programme.
