UKABC CEO and COO meeting with Cambodian Ambassador to the UK — 15 January 2026, London

UKABC Chief Executive, Ian Gibbons OBE and Chief Operating Officer, Ben Raby visited the Royal Cambodia Embassy to meet the Cambodian Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Tuot Panha.

We thanked the Ambassador for her tireless support to the wider UK – Cambodia bilateral relationship and particularly UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) when we host our business roundtables and UK-ASEAN Business Forum.

The Ambassador underlined the value and focus of the bilateral relationship in the automotive, food processing and electronics sectors. The Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) remained vital for Cambodia’s exports with 99% remaining tariff free. The new Techo International Airport designed by Foster + Partners last year is testament to the ambition of the country to play its part in the dynamic and thriving ASEAN region.

The Ambassador is currently Chair of the ASEAN London Committee (ALC) - the high-powered group representing all serving heads of mission in London from the region - and extended an invitation to UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) to present at an upcoming meeting. The offer was gladly and gratefully accepted.
