The UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) was delighted to support the successful Indonesian Investment Forum (IIF) at the Raffles Hotel London. This annual event was co-hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry (BPKM) through the Indonesian Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) and the Indonesian Embassy in London.
The forum included keynotes from significant figures from both countries, including H.E. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming of Indonesia; Poppy Gustafsson OBE, Minister of State at the UK Department for Business and Trade.; H.E. The Rt Hon Sir Tony Blair KG, Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and Anindya Novyan Bakrie, Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
The IIF provided an outlook on positive and compelling investment opportunities in Indonesia in renewable energy and net-zero, education, financial professional services and the digital economy. The country’s strong economic growth and commitment to further liberalisation underpins these growing opportunities.
Alongside the forum, the UKABC was delighted to collaborate with Standard Chartered Bank, The CityUK and BritCham Indonesia to deliver an exclusive lunch for our members with H.E Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, the Indonesian Minister of Investment and Dominic Jermey, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Indonesia.
UKABC looks forward to continuing to support and strengthen the UK-Indonesia bilateral relationship through our forthcoming collaboration and partnership agenda.
