Join the Department for Business and Trade’s (DBT) International Education Specialist for Skills and Professional Bodies, Jonathan Ledger, as he provides an in-depth look into skills and training opportunities in the ASEAN region, encompassing the following countries:

  • Malaysia

This ASEAN-focused webinar is ideal for skills providers considering entering the export market, those brand new to exporting, accidental exporters, and existing exporters.

Covering a range of priority industry sectors, including green and future-facing skills, this webinar aims to empower UK organisations to achieve their strategic export aspirations, particularly in terms of a high-impact approach to skills and education development.

The session will share market insights, highlight success stories, and provide top tips for growing your global EdTech market. It will focus on skills and training in the ASEAN region, looking at ways in which you can better align your offer to the needs of the clients.

This webinar will also take an in-depth look at the opportunities to deliver skills and training which are funded by donor banks, NGOs and other agencies and how to bid for these. It will explore approaches to accessing donor and aid funding that is available for skills development.

Jonathan Ledger, Technical and Vocational Education & Training Skills and Professional Bodies Specialist, Department for Business and Trade

Jonathan is the specialist skills adviser for the development and implementation of the UK Government’s International Education Strategy.

He supports cross-departmental strategic policy development and implementation for vocational and professional skills within the UK.

Vera Grantham, UK Export Academy Adviser, Department for Business and Trade

Vera has many years of international trade experience working across industry sectors.

Before joining the Export Academy team in 2022 she worked as an International Trade Adviser in the North West. Before that, Vera was the International Trade and Documentation manager at the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
