The University of Oxford is a world-leading centre of learning, teaching and research and the oldest university in the English-speaking world.

Our international profile rivals that of any university in the world, highlighted by the breadth and depth of its research collaborations and a truly global student body and academic staff.

As part of this in 2019, we launched a new Centre on Southeast Asian studies. Supported by Oxford’s existing status as the recognised world leader in academic area studies, our new centre will become an important global hub for discussion among academics, policymakers and private enterprises. It will produce policy papers and scholarly publications and provide curriculum resources.

The new centre will also focus on training outstanding students from Southeast Asia and the rest of the world, equipping them with graduate degrees in relevant areas of study across the social sciences and humanities.
