Description
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) of Cambodia is seeking a Project Implementation Consultant to support the implementation of an Irrigated Agriculture Improvement Project financed by EIB.
Specific areas of work include the preparation of a River Basin Management Plan, feasibility studies of irrigation schemes, detailed engineering design, construction supervision, preparation & implementation of a Social & Environmental Management Framework, providing support to EA on Procurement & Financial Management, preparation of progress reports, and monitoring & evaluation.
The project will cover up to five existing irrigation schemes, enhancing their water supply reliability, improving irrigation efficiency & reducing climate-related disasters (flood and drought) within a total command area of about 51,000 ha of existing agricultural land. The provisionally selected schemes are in the provinces of Battambang, Kampong Thom, Takeo and Kampot.
