The energy and chemicals sector is an important contributor to Singapore’s economy, making up approximately one-third of Singapore’s manufacturing output annually and employs 26,000 people. Jurong Island is at the core of Singapore’s energy & chemicals industry with investments amounting to more than S$47 billion and home to many leading petroleum, petrochemical, speciality chemical and supporting companies. EDB intends to work with a consultant to provide a benchmarking study on Singapore’s cost competitiveness for the energy and chemicals sector. This would provide a measure of Singapore’s cost competitiveness and allow for identification of areas for improvements.
EDB would like to invite interested Tenderers to provide the benchmarking of manufacturing cost competitiveness for Singapore’s energy & chemicals sector’. This entails (i) developing a detailed methodology for quantifying manufacturing costs for the Singapore’s energy & chemicals sector; (ii) applying the methodology to Singapore and other competing locations and (iii) developing a detailed report based on (i) and (ii)
