UKABC held a Digital Export Series webinar on ‘Successful Growth in Malaysia’. Participants heard from a panel of three experts about the decades of growth and stability which have helped make Malaysia an industrialised, relatively open economy with consistent growth. Malaysia offers opportunities across a wide range of sectors for UK exporters as demand increases for a variety of goods and services.
Our speakers included Jennifer Lopez, Executive Director, at the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, Vikkrama Kumaravale, ASEAN Desk Director, Corporate and Commercial Banking, at Santander and Hussam Sultan, Regional Head, Commercial (Islamic) at CIMB Bank, Malaysia.
The webinar was moderated by UKABC’s Director of Trade, Paul North.
Malaysia provides opportunities across all sectors and with local assistance from both the chamber of commerce, providing matchmaking services and the banks, unique offering help is available to ease the passage of UK exporters into the market.
The webinar session also included a slot for questions coming from the audience to our panel of experts which mainly focussed around the opportunities and the help and assistance available to SMEs looking at Malaysia as their next export destination.
The Digital Export Series webinar on ‘Successful Growth in Malaysia’ is part of UKABC’s series of virtual events for SMEs and will be followed on June 10 with a webinar on the importance of ‘Protecting your Intellectual Property in Southeast Asia’.
