The Future for Cancer Services – Innovation Forum with ASEAN Partners 2023
DO YOU HAVE A SUCCESS STORY?
We’d like to hear from you.
“Brilliant forum hosted by the Department for Business and Trade and UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) yesterday showcasing NHS and ASEAN innovation in cancer services.”
This hybrid event showcased innovation in clinical services for cancer to a cross-ASEAN and UK audience of 273 registrants including excellent speakers from the UK and ASEAN region. It was part of a series of Healthcare UK NHS Innovation events across the region. It was opened by His Majesty’s Ambassador to ASEAN, Sarah Tiffin and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s Healthcare Champion, Shuhaela Fabya Haqim.
Speakers from NHS England’s Cancer Programme, The Christie (one of the largest cancer centres in Europe) and Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts and the English Academic Health Science Networks combined with those from the ASEAN Business Advisory Group, Mandaya Hospitals Group and AstraZeneca to exchange the challenge and innovations in cancer care across the region and the UK. This generated discussion and insights, moderated by Matt Cavanagh from Prudential which show the value of collaboration and partnerships between our healthcare organisations.
Healthcare UK’s Chris Born said: “We appreciated the chance to work with the UK-ASEAN Business Council on this important topic that goes to the heart of UK-ASEAN collaboration. Together we can help UK and ASEAN healthcare entities to become knowledge and innovation partners.”
