Webinar
About this webinar
This webinar will highlight the untapped potential of Singapore for British e-commerce; how Singapore opens up access to the ASEAN region, a market of over 600m citizens; and give you actionable insights about e-commerce across Southeast Asia.
The webinar will introduce two of the region’s most popular e-commerce marketplaces, Shoppee and Sift & Pick, and the region’s leading logistics provider Janio. Attendees will also be joined by Enterprise Singapore, who will talk about the environment for business in Singapore and its strong support for British companies to trade with Singapore.
With over $17 billion (USD) GMV and over 1.2 billion orders in 2019, Shoppee operates in multiple countries across Southeast Asia. It also has the world’s fifth-most downloaded app in the shopping category. Shoppee is a multi-category marketplace, listing goods from food & drink to luxury consumer products. You’ll learn about current trends and key category opportunities for British companies, as well as how COVID-19 has changed the e-commerce ecosystem and consumer behaviour.
Sift & Pick is a curated marketplace where shoppers “discover international brands and products that are original, of uncompromising quality, and delightful.” They also operate physical pop-ups where they promote key lines and product launches. You’ll learn about their customers, the opportunity for authentic brands with great products and a real story to tell, and key insights on their main categories: Beauty, Bags and Accessories.
Janio is a leading logistics network powered by technology for Singapore and the ASEAN region. You’ll learn about Singapore as a destination for e-commerce merchants and as a gateway for ASEAN/wider Asia, the various opportunities for e-commerce across the region, and their integrated cross-border delivery network.
