Webinar
The Careers Service, University of Sheffield invites you to participate in their 2nd Online International Career Fair in w/c 5 March 2018.
Their first online Career Fair was held in March 2017 to develop a platform for our international students from China, Singapore and Malaysia to interact with employers from their home countries. 33 employers from the region took part in the fair and more than 600 students visited the fair and attended employer presentations. Feedback from both the employers and students was very positive. Based on the high demands from both the employers and the students, they are now organising our second International Online Career Fair for a wider region – the Asia Pacific Region, covering countries including China, Japan, India, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, HK and Taiwan. The 2nd online Career Fair will take place in w/c 5 March 2018 and last one week.
Their software allows participating employers to have an online recruitment booth to upload a company introduction, vacancies, videos, and company weblinks. It also supports interactions between the employers and the students. The companies can also run a pre-recorded webinar for the interested students – you will be able to record audio and share powerpoint slides. This will then be broadcasted to students during the week of the fair.
They can also arrange for you to run a live typed Q and A session with students so you can communicate with them in real time. This would be arranged for you to run in the morning (UK time) on a date during the Fair’s week. Students can log into the system to visit employers stalls and leave questions/messages anytime during the week, and employers can log in to answer questions once or twice every day. Depending on the popularity, some companies might need to spend more time than others to manage the stall.
Taking part in the online Career Fair is free of charge to employers. It provides a cost-effective solution for distant talent recruitment, as well as raising company’s profile on campus.
