DIT and Midlands Engine would like to invite you to the UK Midlands Engine Commonwealth Business Forum on Thursday 8th March at the Council House, Birmingham.
This event is a precursor to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit meeting being hosted by the UK in April in London.
The Commonwealth and the Midlands share a strong and growing trade and investment relationship. By organising this business event in Birmingham, the Department for International Trade aims to highlight these existing links but more importantly to provide an opportunity to network with representatives from Commonwealth countries and discuss future trade and investment opportunities.
During the day you will hear from a range of business and civic leaders about current and future developments with a particular focus on transport innovation and green energy, developments in Life Sciences and healthcare, and agricultural technology – all areas in which the Midlands has truly world class capabilities. Speakers will include Graham Stuart MP, Minister for Investment and Sir John Peace Chair of the Midlands Engine Partnership.
The day will conclude with a networking reception, giving all who attend a further opportunity to meet and discuss plans more informally.
