The education system in Vietnam is undergoing major reforms in its school curriculum, foreign language teaching (with a preference for English), teaching methods and teacher training. These reforms are expected to be launched in 2019.
As a result, The Department for International Trade (DIT) is offering a bespoke programme of activities in Hanoi focused on highlighting the UK’s experience and expertise in the use of education technology. The programme will focus on technology in the classroom which is inclusive, accessible and high quality and that will help to transform Vietnam’s education system.
Given the high profile of UK education, the seminar will be undertaken in partnership with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education & Training (MOET).
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Network with key officials and stakeholders.
Undertake site visits to schools and MOET.
Develop knowledge of local requirements.
Explore areas for collaboration where Vietnam can benefit, specifically on education policy and practices to improve teaching and learning.
Share UK best practice.
Dates & Locations:
Meetings with Schools & MOET: 4th October, Hanoi
Stakeholder Workshops & Q&A: 5th October, Hanoi
