Fri, 24 May 2019, 12:00
EVENT LOCATION
Aura, The National Gallery
The Singapore Forum is open to all Forum members. Members worldwide are being encouraged to travel to Singapore to be introduced to the Singapore membership.
Pre-Scheduled 1-2-1 Meetings
Before the event, Forum will assist in co-ordinating one-to-one meetings between Singapore and international members. It is suggested that the meetings take place within the offices of the Singapore members across the day of Thursday 23rd and the morning of the 24th.
‘Blockchain: Is it really the future?’
Forum is delighted to announce that they will be in conversation with Robert Cohen, one of the early pioneers of blockchain. Robert will explain the thesis and opportunities. As with all Forum events, they will ensure that discussion within the membership is brought quickly to the fore. Robert spoke to the London membership last month. The conversation was of great interest, both for those who already had a deep understanding of blockchain, as well as for those with less experience.
Robert Cohen
Robert has 25 years’ experience in investment management and investment banking. He is the Managing Partner of Benson Oak, a highly successful central European investment firm which he joined in 1996. Robert served on the Boards of several investee companies including AVG, where he handled strategic financing issues for the company and executed its first corporate acquisitions.
He has previously managed Benson Oak’s corporate finance advisory business with a broad range of responsibilities including M&A advisory, private-equity financings, domestic and international capital market fund-raising and general management advisory. He is Managing Director of NKB Group and heads up the Principal Investment arm, known as NKB Capital.
