Online Reception: 2020 Joint ASEAN Societies

The Vietnam UK Network is hosting the 3rd ‘Joint ASEAN Societies Reception’ as an online event. As in previous years, this is a gathering to celebrate UK-ASEAN links. The network covers a variety of topics, including trade and investment, education, tourism, and cultural links.

During the online reception, there will also be a chance to be updated on important developments in the region such as the signage of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Agreement, signed on 15 November 2020 by the 10 ASEAN countries plus China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, arguably the world’s largest free trade agreement.

There is a widespread view across the various UK-ASEAN societies and groups that a lot can be done to improve even more the UK-ASEAN links.
