Exhibition: Indonesia will be the Market Focus for The London Book Fair 2019

REGISTER FOR REGULAR UPDATES

The London Book Fair (LBF) Market Focus programme, which is run in partnership with the British Council, will include cultural events celebrating Indonesian authors and books, and a professional programme designed to enable and enhance business opportunities. Market Focus offers the UK and international publishers the chance to forge new business partnerships and expand into global markets.

Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world and the largest producer of books in Southeast Asia (and a large consumer of foreign titles). Over the last few years, there has been substantial growth in the sale of rights of Indonesian books to territories around the world, ranging from fashion and design to Islam and politics.

Through publishing incentives and an extensive cultural programme including its LBF Market Focus partnership, Indonesia through The Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy and the Ministry of Education and Culture is making a concerted effort to introduce the country’s “17,000 Islands of Imagination” to the international public and, especially, to the UK.

1-2-1 Sessions with the Department for International Trade

The Department for International Trade (DIT) in partnership with The London Book Fair & The Publishers Association is delighted to offer UK SME companies the opportunity to attend export advice sessions with DIT industry experts.

The DIT Meet the Experts Clinic is taking place across the three days of the Fair and is an invaluable opportunity to talk directly to a DIT Export advisor about opportunities for your company around the world, discover the support that’s available to you and receive advice on completing DIT export plans.

All slots last 30 minutes. Please complete the booking form to select your preferred slots here.

London Book Fair

The London Book Fair is the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. 2019 will be celebrating its 48th year in action. Staged annually, LBF sees more than 25,000 publishing professionals arrive in London for the week of the Fair to learn, network, and kick off their year of business.

The London Book Fair sits at the heart of London Book & Screen Week, taking place on the 11-17 March 2019. The Hub is The London Book Fair’s home for media, insight and news and has been awarded a Top 100 UK Book Blog award from Feedspot.
