The UK Government would like to invite you to join them for the ASEAN-UK Digital Innovation Partnership: Digital Dialogue on Thursday 8 September 2022 (15:00-17:00, GMT+7 Jakarta). The virtual event will take place on Zoom and further details on the programme can be found below.

Marking one year since the ASEAN-UK Digital Innovation Partnership was launched, this digital dialogue offers an opportunity to hear from senior government officials and business representatives on the promising next chapter of the economic relationship between the UK and ASEAN.

– Andrew Mitchell CMG – Director General for Exports and UK Trade, Department for International Trade

– Natalie Black CBE – Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific

– Jon Lambe – UK Ambassador to ASEAN

– Dr. Le Quang Lan – Director of the Market Integration Directorate, ASEAN Secretariat

– Dr. Deborah Elms – Founder and Executive Director, Asia Trade Centre

The ASEAN region is home to a dynamic digital ecosystem and digital technologies continue to play a crucial role in turbocharging the economic recovery from the global pandemic and other challenges facing Southeast Asian nations today. This digital dialogue offers an opportunity to explore how the UK and ASEAN can work together to foster new digital business partnerships; exchange best practices on pro-growth digital policy, standards and regulation; and identify areas for cooperation as we collectively seek to equip individuals and businesses with the skills needed to harness the full potential of digital technologies.

Taking place one week before the 54th ASEAN Economic Ministers meeting, this digital dialogue is an opportunity for you to join in laying the groundwork for what will be another step forward in the economic relationship between our nations – one that harnesses digital technologies to unlock the full potential of our economies.
