We are delighted to be hosting an ASEAN Breakfast Briefing with H.E. Foo Chi Hsia, High Commissioner of Singapore, who will provide a briefing of Singapore’s aims and plans as the Chair of ASEAN 2018.

Singapore’s chairmanship tagline is ‘Resilient and Innovative’ and will include a focus on the Digital Economy and seek to connect ‘ASEAN’s people and economies seamlessly in a network of ASEAN smart cities’. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs recently said ‘Singapore will focus on strengthening ASEAN’s resilience and ability to innovate, using digital technology to deal with challenges that cut across national boundaries’. He added, ‘We need to step up urgently on cybersecurity because you can’t have a smarter world and seamless digital transactions if you don’t have cyber security’.
