The ASEAN Start-up Forum 2020 is an initiative of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in cooperation with the ASEAN BAC Legacy project: Digital STARS. The forum will take place on October 16th, 2020 in Hanoi in the hybrid format, combining in person event in Hanoi and virtual conference streamed live.

Areas of discussion

• Discussion on policies and mechanisms to promote start-up cooperation among ASEAN countries
• Understand how to make ASEAN a hub for innovative and sustainable start-up development
• Case studies: business innovators and experts in the digital transformation field will share insights about the role of tech-start-ups in the development of the digital economy in ASEAN

At the Forum, VCCI and Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Corporation (VNPT) will announce the report “Digital transformation: Solutions to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and accelerate for business”, and the online Directory of Vietnamese Digital Transformation Solutions – Digital STARS Showcase 2020. These deliverables are the initial results of the Digital STARS legacy project.

Also during the ASEAN Start-up Forum, the top 10 start-ups selected by the Advisory Board of the Digital STARS Showcase 2020 program will have the opportunity to present their innovative digital transformation solutions to the business community in ASEAN region, to help businesses to successfully engage in digital economy, creating competitive advantage towards sustainable development.
